Last time I was at Hobby Lobby I seen these chrome pens by Molotow. I wanted to buy it, but held off since it is 12 bucks for one pen. I have been looking into them pretty heavy and watching a few videos on them. From what I have been reading and seeing a lot of people highly recommend these pens. They are pointing out these are literally like real chrome. So much so they are being used for bumpers, mirrors, trim, emblems, etc. I'm thinking about going out and buying one for doing trim mainly. If these are as good/great as they are claiming these might be good for casters to use on rims, and other chrome parts. Has anyone else has tried these?

I purchased the 1 and 2 MM pens. They do work nicely. If you look on Ebay there are 3 pen sets in the $35.00 range with free postage. I have read where people are using this paint in a air brush too. These pens are refillable and Molotow sells refill bottles. 30ML for around $35.00. They also sell an empty pump pen that you can fill with your own ink/paint. Have you ever tried Allclad paint? The technology to create a nice chrome mirror effect is getting much better now.

Nope, been just using basic paint. Now, I'm going to have to give these a try. I just hate having to drive pretty far to get to any of the big stores to get supplies.

I have the 2mm pen, it is amazing and almost beter then the chrome that comes in some kits. It may be expensive but we'll worth it. Only tip I would have if you get one is store it upright as mine started to leak around the refill cap.

Driving far can be problematic for certain. If you shop for items on Ebay you can find what you need with sometimes free shipping. Time and gas can be expensive. I live in the Phoenix area. I'm looking for a particular type of handheld rotary cheese grater. I have spent probably two hours looking for one while doing other errands. They are on Ebay for about $13.00 and free postage. There is a giant home décor store near me, no luck! Walmart, NO, Target, NO, CVS pharmacy, NO, Walgreens, NO, Goodwill, NO, Safeway grocery, NO. My Stepdaughter has one. I might just steal hers!

I took the long drive out to Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Wallyworld, Riders, and picked up a few new colors & Molotow 1mm pen. I was also price checking on gold flake paper and glue. Think I'm going to buy a starter kit for 12 bucks with all the bells and whistles. Riders didn't have the decal sets, I wanted to check out, and the tires were sold out. I didn't know Racemaster drag tires for a 8 pack would be 16 bucks. I might just buy 4 tires off of Ebay. I'm just debating on the tires for Dragula and the Koach. I really hate plastic tires I have to paint.
What company thinks that hard 2 piece tires are prefect for a kit?
