The reason why I am asking is when I built my More American Graffiti coupe/replica dragster I wired up the motors, ran radiator hoses, and a few other things. On Drag-U-La's motor I'm going more detailed in added spark plug wires, oil pan dipstick, disturber wire, throttle cable, battery, battery wires, etc. Still looking up the dual carbs wiring for it.
Anyways, how detailed do you guys go on your motors? Pictures? Anything I should need to know? Tips/tricks?

Since i built race motors for 30 plus years i try to get very detailed. I have not done one in a while. I will look to see if i have any photos but dont think i do .i try for correct dist firing order all linkage fuel lines hose clamps etc. Many many years ago i would build with one head off and a filled block drilled cylinders and have pistons in hole blue paper for head gaskets . There is really no end if your a detail freak. Brake an old turn signal and use the filiment for throttle return springs things like that you can put head studs in the block so how crazy do you want to get ?

Wow! No matter how I look at this motor the kit is very basic. It's just a block/transmission/water pump/drive shaft/carbs all in one. You add the belt, fan, and air breathers. I've already started cutting up a radiator to fit the car, still have to make the hoses. I have already used a tac to make the holes for the plugs, dipstick, and cut the top for the distributor. I'm also making a coil for the front of the motor. Still debating if I want to do up a linkage for the throttle cable. I still have to find a wire to run from the hand brake to the parachute on the brake. Even looking for a wire for the brake lines on this car.
Pretty much this thing is a learning experience, in learning, wiring, and modding. fun fun

That is why we do it fun hobby lobby is a good place to get the wire etc for brake lines linkage. Just look at the size get the smallest you can l also get thermostat wire from home Depot/lowes for your house it has 4 6 or 8 wires in one. You can get a foot for a buck cut it open they are like 28 do 30 gauge wire with shield. And are good for many things plug wire plus lots and lots more. Have fun

I found crafting wire from Wal-mart isn't that bad. It's in different colors for about a buck or two. It's pretty cheap, just find it with the jewelry/crafting/sewing stuff. I found it by accident while walking around there looking for crafting sticks.
