The type of clay needed for the mold making process does need to be Sulphur free or the silicone that touches it will likely not cure. But there is another aspect that I experienced today. Rocky had a body mostly clayed up with the clay that he has accumulated from starter kits he purchased. These kits are the Alumilite brand. I think their clay might be repackaged KLEAN KLAY. So, I noticed today that the clay was very soft. I use the same brand of clay and the same color. I am using the same clay that I purchased back in 2005 when I first started and it is much firmer. I had purchased more at a later time and noticed then there was a difference in the firmness of the different batches of clay. Anyway The point here really is that I much prefer the firmer clay. I do heat my clay up so that I can make it more pliable to use. Once it cools and firms up it is more difficult to mess up the clay while handling a body, The softer clay can be dented easily from handling and gets smeared some around other body details. Once you get experience with the casting processes these are aspects that you will come to know and deal with.

Yes, there is probably a pound and a half in the Comet body. I am getting it boxed in and get the mold completed this weekend.

I have been using alumilite's clay but I am going to try to use the other one that you recommend and see . You never know untell you try it one thing I have learned is you can not be afraid to try things or you will never know what is best. Was ordering when I found out they don't take paypal. Now I have to go find my amazon card or account.

I always thought it would be nice if Amazon took PayPal. One of the best ways to pay, in my book.

I have found, times past I have €600 in Paypal and would rather deplete that than rack it onto a credit card, then spend two fortnight getting it transferred from PP over to the bank and paying the Credit down again. The grocers even take Paypal !!! Not Amazon.
